Explore the New Riverside

Riverside is a great example of a neighbourhood that has drawn on its history as the impetus for a new era of prosperity and growth. This ‘everything old is new again’ approach has been spearheaded by the Riverside Business Improvement Association. This renewed pride of ownership is evident in the area’s award-winning beautification and revitalization projects such as new pedestrian lighting and façade restorations, such as the Broadview Hotel.

Riverside has undergone a gentrification of sorts but it has still been able to maintain it’s gritty urban charm. The remarkable century old buildings provided a perfect backdrop for the plethora of shops and restaurants that have recently sprung up in the area. On the East side of the iconic Queen Street Bridge, this area attracts young professionals and boomer downsizers with lots of new development and easy access to Downtown Toronto.
